Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is an evidenced-based approach to treat medical conditions and related symptoms through diet and lifestyle modifications. MNT is provided by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who has completed extensive study and training instituted by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. MNT includes nutrition diagnosis and therapeutic counseling services to help with managing disease and reduce risks of progression.

Throughout Zen’s personal and professional experiences, she learned that the traditional medicine approach to health is unable to significantly help someone achieve wellness, especially when burdened with multiple chronic diseases and persistent signs and symptoms despite traditional interventions.
Zen elevates the traditional Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) through a Functional Medicine approach, known as Integrative and Functional Nutrition. Incorporating the Functional Medicine framework has been shown to improve outcomes in managing health and disease.
Zen shifts the traditional diseased-focused nutrition therapy to more about addressing the whole person. She deep dives into factors that contribute to a person's health and wellbeing including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental. If overlooked, they could serve as potential barriers to successful and sustainable adoption of positive dietary and lifestyle habits.
